Lips Nexora is fully open access. There is no charge to submit and no charge to read — a single Article Processing Charge is payable only if your manuscript is accepted.

Taxes are additional
Taxes are additional and are charged as applicable in each country's jurisdiction. The rates above are exclusive of any goods and services tax, value-added tax, withholding tax or equivalent levy. Your invoice will state the position that applies to you, and we will supply whatever documentation your institution’s finance office requires.
Which rate applies to me?
The rate is determined by the country of the corresponding author, as given in the submission. Corresponding authors based in India are charged ₹10,000.00; corresponding authors based anywhere else are charged $100.00. Co-authors’ locations do not affect the rate, and there is only ever one charge per article.
When the charge falls due

You submit — free
No fee of any kind is payable to submit a manuscript, and none is requested.

Peer review — free
Screening and double-blind review are carried out at no cost, however many revision rounds are needed. If your manuscript is rejected, nothing is ever charged.

On acceptance — the invoice is issued
Once the editors accept your manuscript, an invoice is raised and emailed to the corresponding author, payable within 30 days.

You pay, we verify, we publish
Pay by bank transfer, UPI or card, then upload your receipt. An editor verifies it and your article proceeds to publication.
What the charge covers
- Editorial handling and Stage 1 screening
- Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers
- Professional typesetting into a formatted galley PDF
- Permanent hosting with a citable, stable URL
- DOI registration and Crossref deposit
- Indexing metadata for Google Scholar, DOAJ, and OAI-PMH harvesters
- Full-text HTML, PDF download, and citation export in six styles
- Long-term preservation of the version of record
What is never charged for
- Submitting a manuscript
- Peer review, however many rounds it takes
- Rejected or withdrawn manuscripts
- Colour figures, or any number of pages, figures or tables
- Reading, downloading or reusing any published article
Waivers and discounts
Ability to pay never influences an editorial decision. Editors are not told whether a waiver has been requested, and the decision to accept or reject is taken before any invoice exists. If the charge is a barrier to publishing your work, write to the editorial office explaining your circumstances — full and partial waivers are granted routinely, and we would rather publish good research than collect a fee.
Grounds we regularly grant
No submission fee, no reader fee
Lips Nexora charges neither authors to submit nor readers to read. Every article is free to access from the day it is published, under a Creative Commons licence.
Refunds
If an article is withdrawn before publication at the journal’s request, the charge is refunded in full. If it is retracted after publication for author misconduct, the charge is not refunded — the editorial and production work has already been done.
Institutional payment
We accept purchase orders and can invoice your institution directly. Ask the editorial office and we will supply the documentation your finance office needs.
